Dear Dr. Glastrup,
I wonder where you got this number. TXIB (Kodaflex) is a brand from
Eastman.
And TXIB is 2,2,4-Trimethyl-1,3-pentanediol diisobutyrate (CAS#:
6846-50-0)

If you took this from NIST - maybe you can contact the group of Prof.
Hites (contributor).

I think - as a multi (million ) ton product TXIB could be contaminated
with
Propanoic acid, 2-methyl-, 1-(1,1-dimethylethyl)-2-methyl-1,3-propanediyl
ester (CAS#: 74381-40-1).
(And even 2,4,4-trimethyl-1, 3-pentanediol is very rare)
But this is my opinion (not veryfied) and there are many other ways. But
maybe you can contact Eastman.
(6846-50-0 and the corresponding diols are also produced by other
companies.)
Witgh kind regards
